I Think Tonight May Be...

One of the best Girlie-Q's ever. The theme (Guilty Pleasures, a tribute to music we're embarrassed to admit that we love) is genius--that's thanks to CruelVal, it was her idea--and everyone is doing such amazing songs. I'm really excited. I think this will be great. Plus, I get to wear sweats all night. How can I lose?

My job-job is fantastically psychotic this week. We're putting on an awards ceremony on Saturday and it's the biggest PITA ever. 35 awardees (think we have enough people to manage? Huh?) and logistics for two events--one in the day, one in the evening. I will be so glad when it's Saturday at 7:30 pm and I can go home and be done with it.

Last night, I signed the contract for Girlie-Q to headline the Naked July Festival at the National Pasttime Theater. I'm super excited about it--we're doing Fridays and Saturdays at midnight, all through the month of July, in a nice theater setting with guaranteed pay. We're holding auditions in a week or so and a lot of the performers that I'm really excited to be working with lately are on board for it. And we're psyched to find some new acts.

We're putting The Girlie-Q Variety Hour back together as a neo-vaudevillian show. Loads of variety (as ever), hot girls, and a GREAT director. I am so psyched--this is just what I wanted. Plus, it will mean a chance to really hone an act and have a really solid show. Also, the people at National Pasttime are great. It's goodness all the way around.

All right. Speaking of psychotic day jobs, I need to get to mine. Catch you laters, gators.

xox,
Ms. Bea
